Mumbai: It was on this day 10 years back that choreographer Farah Khan's debut directorial "Main Hoon Na" hit the screens. She can only look back at her pool of memories with a smile.

"Main Hoon Na", Farah says, marked the first time that the film's lead actress Sushmita Sen wore a sari on screen.

"This scene was the first day of shoot for Sushmita Sen and the first time she wore a sari on screen," Farah tweeted along with a picture of Sushmita's introduction scene.

"Main Hoon Na" also stars Zayed Khan, Amrita Rao, Naseeruddin Shah, Kabir Bedi and Kirron Kher.

The film set the platform for Farah and she next directed the superhit "Om Shanti Om" in 2007.

She is currently busy directing "Happy New Year", which also stars Shah Rukh Khan.

New Delhi: “Satra Ko Shaadi Hai”, which has an ensemble cast of over 50 actors, promises to bring out the flavour of real Indian weddings on the big screen.

Co-produced by UTV Motion Pictures, J.A. Entertainment and Rising Sun Films, it will be a fun and entertaining marriage drama, said a statement.

Featuring Barun Sobti and Sapna Pabbi as the lead actors, the movie will be helmed by debutant director Arshad Syed.

“Satra Ko Shaadi Hai” is based in Bhopal and will capture wedding elements including inflated egos, juggling budgets, rooftop romances, messed up arrangements, generation gaps, confused ceremonies, last minute emergencies and also the fun, frolic, festivities galore, dance, music, family bonding and emotions.

Mumbai: Actress Alia Bhatt has shot for a PETA ad campaign, posing with a cat and dressed as an angel. Donning a gold sequin dress with angels wings fixed to her back, Alia sends across the message of adopting pets and not buying them. 

Alia is a proud owner of two cats herself and she is clutching one for the campaign's poster. The ad campaign promotes pet adoption.

Mumbai, Filmmaker Sajid Khan and actor Riteish Deshmukh turned mimicry artists on the sets of their upcoming movie 'Humshakals' to entertain the entire crew when they felt home-sick while shooting abroad.

Both Sajid and Ritesh are good at tickling the funny bones of the audience, and this skill came in handy on
sets when they imitated yesteryear stars Rajesh Khanna and Shatrughan Sinha to keep the unit in high spirits.

"We had long shooting hours in London and Mauritius. Sajid and Riteish used to mimic Rajesh Khanna and Shatrughan Sinha so that people would laugh and feel less home sick. The crew members were overwhelmed by such efforts," a source from the production team said.

Produced by Fox Star Studios and Pooja Entertainment & Films Ltd, 'Humshakals', directed by Sajid and stars Saif Ali Khan, Riteish, and Ram Kapoor along with  Bipasha Basu, Tamannah and Esha Gupta in lead roles. The comedy is all set to release on June 20.

Mumbai, The makers of Ajay Devgn-starrer 'Singham' have come up with a video which shows police personnel acknowledging positive change in public perception about them due to the 2011 action film.

Devgn is all set to reprise the role of Bajirao Singham in Rohit Shetty's second installment of 'Singham'. The first one received immense appreciation and box office success and led Shetty and his team to make a sequel to the film.

Apparently, post 'Singham' the people's perception about personnel in police uniform changed to quite an extent. To take note of this positive change the makers of the film have come up with a two minute video where real policemen/ women have shared their thoughts on how the film gave them a new recognition.

'Singham' is the story of an honest police officer (Devgn) taking on a corrupt businessman-turned-politician.

In the video, G M Mudiraj, an Assistant Police Inspector, credits 'Singham' for effecting positive makeover of police image. "With what was shown in the film, the thinking of people have changed."

Sandeep L Shinde, a Sub-Inspector, says his five-year-old daughter proudly tells everyone her father is a 'Singham'. S B Shelar, a Constable, says police force's contributions are acknowledged by people.

According to the makers, the video is an ode to all police personnel, who are earnestly serving the nationThe sequel, which has Devgn and Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead, is set to release on August 15.

Noida, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut today visited Noida to promote her upcoming movie 'Revolver Rani'.

'Revolver Rani', an upcoming Hindi comedy drama starring Kangana Ranaut and Vir Das in leading roles, is directed by Sai Kabir. The film is presented by Wave Cinemas.

Mumbai, Tamil actor Dhanush is all set to begin shooting of his second Bollwyood film, to be directed by R Balki, in Goa.

The 30-year-old actor made his Hindi film debut with Anand L Rai's 'Raanjhanaa' last year and earned accolades for playing a boy from Banaras. "En route to Goa for Balki's film shoot and 'VIP' background score," Dhanush posted on Twitter.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has previously worked with Balki in 'Cheeni Kum' and 'Paa', has a prominent role in the forthcoming film.

Besides Bachchan and Dhanush, the untitled film will also star Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan's younger daughter Akshara, who is making her Bollywood debut with the movie.
